My formative years were spent in carefree abandon on a wine and fruit farm in the Robertson district.   My father’s cellar was a favourite playground, where I learnt to appreciate the hard work and creative energy that culminate in the winemaker’s pride and joy – his wines.

I studied art at university.  My hobbies are pottery, sculpting, oil painting, figure drawing and writing poetry.  I have exhibited at solo and group exhibitions and have published some of my poems.

I have completed several wine courses at the Cape Wine Academy.  I am passionate about wine and all the inspiring people involved with it.  I have been with Simonsvlei since 2002 and work in the Export Department.
